Meet Eric Turner — Founder & Lead Contractor
Eric started in the electrical trade in 2001, completing his 5-year union apprenticeship at JATC Local 617 in San Mateo County as the Outstanding Apprentice of his class. He later returned to JATC as a professional instructor, teaching motor controls, transformer installation, grounding & bonding, and electrical hazard recognition.
In 2011, Eric joined Rosendin Electric, one of the largest electrical contractors in the United States. Over 9 years, he advanced from journeyman → foreman → General Foreman / Project Manager, overseeing projects totaling over $1.2 billion in construction value. His portfolio includes the Meta Data Centers in Prineville ($553M), Facebook MPK 20 — Facebook's first flagship new headquarters in Menlo Park, Facebook Event Center at MPK 21 ($112M), MPK 23, Amgen next-generation high-tech state-of-the-art biotech laboratories ($49.5M), and major projects at SFO including American Airlines In-Flight Services and the state-of-the-art Air Traffic Control Tower, plus Oracle and Cisco.
In 2019, Eric brought that enterprise experience back to Bend and founded Gold Electric. Since then, the company has served nearly 10,000 Central Oregon customers, earning a 4.8-star Google rating with over 200 reviews.

He trained other electricians as a JATC instructor and advanced to General Foreman / Project Manager at Rosendin Electric.
In 2019, he brought all that expertise back home to Bend and started Gold Electric with a simple mission: deliver the same precision, professionalism, and attention to detail he used on billion-dollar projects — but for Central Oregon families and businesses.
Today, Gold Electric has served nearly 10,000 customers with a 4.8-star Google rating.
